My brother died today.

Day # 8 – ANGLE
Stacy Alexander – 2012
The theme for today’s challenge is the word, “Angle” and the above photo represents my interpretation. Admittedly, however, I cannot make a post about the word, “Angle” without mentioning a woman who, in my opinion, is one of the biggest political jokes alive today, Sharron Angle.
One simply doesn’t get much dumber than this woman. Her willful ignorance goes far beyond the bounds of insanity into sheer stupidity. She is typical dim-witted tea party fare …and the joke of many political circles…and is it any wonder? ..Do you know that this insipid woman actually claimed that Muslim Sharia law was taking hold in parts of the U.S? You can’t make this stuff up, folks! She is an embarrassment to herself and to this country….sort of like idiot Sarah Palin…but worse.
Willful ignorance is one of the things that is really wrong with this country today. These idiots that refuse to fact check from reliable sources, the ones that rely upon FOX for their “news” and who admire idiots like Angle and Palin. It boggles the mind, people! I have zero patience for that kind of stupidity. There is no excuse for it.
Here are ten examples of what makes this woman fall into the idiot category, in my opinion. One cannot make the claim that these quotes are taken out of context because they are not. They are made in direct reference to the citations underneath each quote. The bozo actually said these things!
The 10 Most Ridiculous Sharron Angle Quotes (So Far)
Sharron Angle is of the brainlessly stupid variety that evokes belly laughs from educated people. A great example is when she chastised and berated a reporter for QUOTING HER!! Isn’t that funny?! She was questioned about something that she, herself, stated publicly on her website, and then called the reporter that repeated it, an “idiot”! Again…ya can’t make this stuff up, folks. They need a whole new word to describe how utterly dumb Sharron Angle is! Click HERE to read the whole story about this incident.
Here are some of her other idiotic statements:
It snows infrequently in Portland. This morning, when I saw the first flakes drifting from the gray sky, I thought to check the hummingbird feeder. Sure enough, it was frozen solid, so I brought it indoors, thawed it out and refilled it with nectar concentrate, this time, using warm water. No sooner had I hung it back out than this little guy discovered it and took a long, thirsty drink.
When the snow really started to come down, I grabbed the camera and walked around the block to get a few shots. Not all birds fared as gracefully as the hummingbird.
Some of our plants had been fooled into thinking spring had come early. Unfortunately for them, it clearly has not.
I love how the snow instantly transformed the hood into a winter wonderland. And even in the snow, love still abounds.
The tree branches gently caressed the falling snow which contrasted beautifully with the green moss.
Even the gargoyles are tucked up tight against the freezing wind.
And the snow leaves its cryptic messages on the walk….
Even my little spring-colored mosaic Zen house is shivering!
It is still snowing as I write this. Puppy is snug and warm by the fireplace and I am getting ready to enjoy a bowl of homemade Tom Yam coconut soup, firey hot with peppers and kale-stuffed dumplings.
Beatrix and I are going to hunker down and be thankful that we are warm and safe. This is going to be a peaceful evening.
One of the finest actors and directors this world has ever known was found dead in his Manhattan apartment this morning, of a suspected heroin overdose. What a waste of life and talent. He and one of my film industry friends were close friends. She is in deep mourning today. I saw him live in “Death of a Salesman” and John and I saw him when we were coincidentally stuck in a Hollywood traffic jam together a few years ago. He was right beside us. I looked over and waved at one point, and he gave a smile and a little wave back. I’m sure he forgot that instantly, but I never will. Each time I saw him act in a film, I marveled at the fact that he was even better than he had been in the last one.
This is a sad day for the world.
